Congressman Reichert believes in providing broad-based tax relief for families and businesses in order to grow our economy and create jobs. He has fought to make the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts permanent, especially the state sales tax deduction that affects every single Washington State taxpayer. Americans will see the largest tax increase in history if Congress does not act to make the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts permanent, and Congressman Reichert believes that the last thing we should do in the face of economic uncertainty is to raise taxes on hard-working Americans.
